Crafting is my day job... That is, I sit at home and make things all day. I have more fun with custom orders and commissions! Feel free to commission me ^_^
I am a performer at heart, an aspiring professional mermaid, and my biggest goal is to become a singer. In the meantime, I try to sell my wares to provide for myself and my fur-babies <3

Steampunk, Mermaids, Historical, Lolita, replicas, knitting, costuming, etc... I am a lady of many hats (literally, I love to make fulled wool hats!). I try to teach myself everything! I love learning new skills.
I love video games but don't play (I could be making things!), anime is always a win with me. I like to draw but haven't done so in years other than clothing/accessory design. I'd like to pick it back up again in my spare time, though! I used to be decent at anime-style :)
Love to write, may possibly be working on something in the near future.
I am a total DA n00b, please excuse me while I learn the ropes - I'm not trying to be rude if it seems like I am!

So I’m working on finishing up this epic Steampunk pirate hat for sale - I knitted and felt it all myself out of several kinds of brown wool yarn. I have blocked and shaped it nicely. There is a HUGE fluffy boa of natural-looking “feathery” faux fur yarn knitted and felted into the edge of the brim. I am installing a “lining band” (looks like a sweatband, but sewn completely in place) for stability. I’m going to be decorating it with lots of neat little bits and bobs and pieces of chain and awesome things.
Like I said, this hat is going to be EPIC.

preparing to art

Since I don’t have photoshop or anything similar, I’m just going to do this by hand on some of the leftover poster board from the “what’s your malfunction” video.
It’s also my first time doing actual art in a loooooooong time.
So right now, I’m looking up references for pixelated cherry blossoms (sakura) for this. I’m contemplating on doing this in watercolour pencils or in acrylics (though part of it’s going to be in acrylic for sure, because metallics)
What do you guys think? Any opinions?

It's never a chore to add Faves with a mermaid model, I'm always glad to see photo-shoots of that kind being posted around here and try to seek them out when they are.
Also, it's heartening to know that someone who has the ambition and interest in becoming a mermaid model would be interested in reading my work on similar subjects, knowing that it's in some way appealing to them.
As for things that I'd be interested in seeing, I always think that there aren't enough mermaid photo-shoots in which the theme is transformation from a human into a mermaid, maybe the model becoming a mermaid and yet still wearing her human clothing.
Hope you don't mind me suggesting that.
